Middletown has not only been my home for my entire life but has been an ever changing yet historically rich city nestled right in the middle of Connecticut. Boasting a fabulous Main Street loaded with restaurants, shops, and outings and the home to Wesleyan university this city with a small town feel has something for everyone! My personal favorite part of Middletown though is the people! Middletown despite being a city has a very small town feel where everyone knows each other. I can't go to the grocery store without bumping into at least 3 people I know. Beyond that, Middletown is constantly changing and being renewed by our outstanding public works department and mayor! d

Living in Middletown and going to school in Middletown has been a positive part of my life and I will always be thankful for everything I gained from all of the great experiences I've had. I have experienced a wide range of schools, from the old and worn down schools to the new modern schools. In Middletown, everyone respects each other and there is a well-knit community that is actively involved in school and governmental activities. Although the town ranges from farmland on one side to the inner city on the other side, its residents come together on special occasions and are all involved in local businesses.
Middletown is a great community. Neighbors know one another and many are very active in their community. The City of MIddletown is a great place to raise children - there are many activities, including an award-winning children's museum, Kid City. There are also numerous cultural opportunities and the downtown has a large number of excellent ethnic restaurants. Wesleyan University stands high on the hill over looking the Connecticut River and has numerous offerings open to the public. I'd like to see Wesleyan students take more advantage of the city - we don't tend to see them that much downtown.
