I like Middleton, ID. It's a fairly quiet community where everyone knows everyone. It's quickly expanding and we are slowly gaining more people and places. Star is just next door and Star is a lovely place as well. Middleton is just off the freeway while still feeling more rural than most cities close to Boise. Having lived here since 5th grade, it's safe to say I love their schools, too!
Middleton is an amazing place to live. The people are great and the schools are so inclusive. I feel safe walking around at night for the most part, which is super important to me. All of the people I meet are incredibly nice! The only thing I would change is the availability in jobs around Middleton. I had to look into Caldwell for job opportunities.
I moved to Middleton about 10 years ago, and it has been continuously growing since then. Middleton High School is now a 5A school, and we managed to do better than expected this past school year in sports. For a relatively small school, our school spirit is on top. I love the students and staff here. Middleton may not have a whole bunch of activities for locals, but bigger cities are just within 15-45 minutes away. Our first fast food place has recently been built, a Jack in the Box, and it seems to be a great hit. The drive thru line is almost always full. Many new neighborhoods are popping up, but farmland is never far from sight.
