i want more outdoor activities
Not concerned with crime. It's a pretty safe place to live. I don't have to worry about taking a walk at midnight. I know I'm safe.
Not much to do. I am a college student who is moving out. I am really going to miss living here though. Lots of trails if you find them. Restaurants are nice and people are usually friendly.
Crimes are not heard of very often in my area. Many people come to live here for the long haul and everyone knows one another. Any type of crime would be from someone intruding the area. Police are very good are respondes, and the local fire departments are quick and active. Safety is never an issue around here.
It is sort of hard to find stuff to do in the winter except watch movies, and go out to dinner. In the fall/summer/spring there is a ton of outdoor stuff and recreations to do.
The only outdoor place of exercise around here is the high school track. Then again, all you can do there really is run or play soccer/football on the field. All other places are private gyms to which you need a membership. I'm not sure how active people are around here...but I can say I see a decent amount of bikers/walkers/runners on my street. The closest hospital to me isn't perfect, but it's better than other places I've seen. I've never personally been admitted to this hospital, but I've had family members who have been. I am physically active on my own terms. I have a tredmil, eliptical and stationary bike in my basement that I use frequently. When it's nice outside, I ride my bike or take a run down the road or hike through my own property.
We get some rough wind, rain and thunder/lightning storms from time to time. The winters can be brutal ocassionally as well. Other than that, the weather here is not terrible. Humid in the summers, chilly in the spring, chilly in the fall. The snow usually starts falling by the time Thanksgiving rolls around. My wardrobe consists mainly of jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, tank tops and shorts. I'm usually wearing boots or flip flops and only own tennis shoes for working out.
The restaurants here are pretty great. They're your average restaurants that you can see anywhere. It's just good because of the fact that there are so many different ones to choose from. There are a handful that are specific to just this area, which is nice too.
I'm a college student with no degree yet. There is nowhere for me to get a decent job around here besides Giant Eagle (which I have already done), Walmart (which I will not do) or Target (which I applied to in the past and never got a call back. A fast food job is out of the question mainly because the hours are long, the customers are rude and I won't get paid enough for what I do. I'm currently applying for a restuarant, which is really the only other option for a person my age around here to do.
