The addition of many businesses in the Monroe Market place are an excellent opportunity for shopping that wasnt previously in the area. In addition to the Susquehanna Valley Mall, the strip along routes 11 and 15 in Selinsgrove provides many shopping and eating opportunities. There is excellent variety in food with variance between popular chain restaurants and family owned business.

There is a lot of variety in the area mostly centered around privately owned restaurants. While most popular food chains are available (except Red Lobster or Olive Garden), the more delicious options are typical steakhouses or other countryfied cuisine.
There is limited variety in employment in my area. Much of the employment requires little to no education and there are few, if any, opportunities to take on a career that is stimulating or challenging. The largest industries in my area are health care and industrial production.
