Middlebury Reviews
Rating 4.07 out of 5 27 reviews
A safe and reliable town to grow up in. Public schools are great in the area and access to major highway is as well. Yet, for experiences, Middlebury constantly lacks. Our one major attraction is a small lake where the entire town gathers. Our major streets lack sidewalks, and our restaurant selection consists of 3 places to get dinner, yet their hours are quite confusing. Yet, the clse knit community relationship you would expect from a small town does not exist in Middlebury. Everyone seems distant, and judgmental a majority of the time.
A great little small town situated right next to Waterbury. Unlike the latter, the town is very safe, and quite wealthy in some places. Contrary to the rest of the state, many people here are very friendly and everyone knows eachother. The schools are good for the most part but they don't offer great after school activities or special education program. I-84 passes right through town offering easy access to Waterbury to the east, and Danbury to the west. There isn't much in the same of food here say for some local shops and restaurants. Lake quassapaug and the Quassy amusement park are located here, but other than that, there is not much for you to do. All in all, Middlebury, Connecticut is a great place to raise a family and I'd highly recommend relocating here.
This is a small town. Our main strip consists of pizza places and gas stations. Everyone goes to dunkin in there free time. We have a nice trail that goes for a couple of miles and some nice parks for your children to play at. The school systems are pretty good and it is a relatively safe town. Waterbury is right near here where the majority of us go to get quick fast food, or watertown. And southbury is about a 10 minute drive. Everyone pretty much knows everyone in town, and can be helpful. As for teens and job opportunities there isn't a whole lot to do because it is more of an old persons town so you would have to venture about 10-15 minutes to find a good local job, but it is very pretty when the seasons change.
