My over all experience with Michigan City has been hit or miss but over all a miss. I have been here for about five years now and the things i enjoy are the zoo, and beach. The things i would change would be the quality of people attracted to the city, the crime, cleanliness and just general attitude of people around Michigan City. I've been to a few states and cities over the years and Michigan City by far is the most unpleasant city I have been in. There are good people here there is just so few of them. Its a very unpleasant city for the majority then any other I've witnessed. When i lived in Houston that was by far my favorite city!

A lot of cute locally-owned shops where the business owners are down to earth and kind people. The town is right on the beautiful Lake Michigan and you can rent kayaks or boats or paddle boards and spend the day on the Lake. Not to mention, there are a number of breweries and cool local hangs!
The main thing about Michigan City is living by the lake. My most favorite thing is waking up early in the morning and fishing for Kings on the lake. Its a fabulous place with a lot of excellent food! The only thing I would change is the amount of trash on the streets and the beach.
