Miami Shores Reviews
Miami Shores is a small town about 15 to 20 minutes away from the heart of Miami. The downtown area of Miami Shores is evolving well but still has at least 2 to 3 years to go before it reaches its true potential. Right now, the downtown area of Miami Shores is very sleepy and not much to do. That being said, within 5 - 10 mins in any direction you have an endless amount of food and nightlife options. The Shores is a great place to raise a family for safety and having the feeling of living in a nice town close to a big city. Real estate has become fairly expensive over the last few years as the Shores has gained a lot on popularity. One major issue though for a family is that public schools in the town are not good. So high RE values with expensive property taxes for poor public education...very disappointing in that regard. Overall I do like the Shores but am planning to relocate in the next few years to an area with better pubic schools.
Miami Shores is truly an amazing village. It is a great neighborhood to raise a family and you will feel apart of the community when you arrive. There are plenty of things to do if you like being active and outdoors. You will see tons of people on walks, runs, bike rides, roller blading, all throughout the day, and there's plenty of trees for shade. With a local community center, aquatic center, field house, tennis courts, and country club, you will often find yourself running into your neighbor.
Miami Shores is a city which I can honestly can say is a unique gems. The perfect location allows you to be close to the beach, not far away from downtown Miami, and filled with different places hang out at. I love it here!
