Working in Metuchen
Metuchen is a safe and family friendly town with many activities aimed at families with young children. There has been an increase in the amount of traffic in recent years, however getting into New York CIty is very easy due to the train station in town. The schools are generally good and the town is located centrally in New Jersey making it near many different desirable locations.
Metuchen is like the donut hole of Edison. I like the small, tight-knit atmosphere of the local businesses and restaurants and the events on Main Street that keep the community together. It is near many good places to hang out like shopping at Menlo Park Mall and spending time at Roosevelt Park where you can ice skate or BBQ with your family.
Small town, but great culture, everyone knows each other and everyone looks out for each other. There are lots of small businesses that thrive in Metuchen and lots of choices to shop. The community is very supportive of the school district as well by donating and cheering on the Metuchen Bulldogs.
