I’ve lived in Metuchen my whole life, I suppose it is a good town for families. However, I think that the people are close minded. As for the town it’s self, the downtown is nice but the town does not have culture. It is a typical small town. When you live here you know everyone and everyone knows you. Depending on your personality this can either be a good thing or a bad thing. I have noticed that a majority of the people work in New York and or come from New York to “settle down” and some of the people grew up here and decided to stay. As for myself I don’t think I will be doing that.
Metuchen has very dedicated schools and is focused on family. Our neighborhood is always tight-knit and neighbors create lasting relationships quickly. This town is great to start a family, without a doubt.
