overall my experience in Methuen has led to the formation of a few bodied opinions. One, the cost of living is outrageous. My own experience has left me in an apartment community that charges you for every little thing that they possibly can. Two, the lack of sidewalks and safe neighborhoods have left it an ill usable place for me and my son to wonder and explore our new surroundings. We enjoy the diversity, but due to our comfortableness in such a big city I feel as though that is the only reasoning for the lack of frightfulness. Methuen is very close to almost every highway. so there is that! The diversity with food is also one of the benefits of the areas. Never a dull moment at the corner store that's for sure! My son is too young to attend the public-school system; therefore, I cannot speak on that behalf. The job opportunities as well are of foreign knowledge, there are plenty of surrounding businesses so one can only imagine that there is work out there!

We have lived in Methuen our whole lives and couldn't imagine living anywhere else! Our children attend the local schools. In particular, Methuen High School is a top notch institution that has so much to offer our students! In addition, the city is consistently looking to bring in new businesses and opportunities for residents.
Love how we are so close to everything! Boston is jus a 45 minute car ride or an hour train ride away. The beaches are also as close as just 30 minutes away, wether it be Hampton, Salisbury, Plum Island, Seabrook, or Newburyport. We are also so close to the lakes region as the ride is only about an hour and a half to two hours. The mountains are absolutely beautiful up in New Hampshire.
