Merritt Island is a great place for families! With NASA and the beach in your backyard, you never want to leave! It's a great place to raise a family, great job opportunities especially in the engineering field, and to retire. We could use a good facelift to some of our building around the town and more places to attract tourism but over all it's a great place to be!

It may not be the best in certain areas, but Merrit Island is an embracing and welcoming place. I have lived here for basically my entire life and, to this day, it continues to surprise me. Merritt Island has countless recreational areas to spend your time at including, but not limited to, beautiful parks, gorgeous beaches, and many safe but exhilarating attractions. Its warm weather offers the perfect opportunity to explore its public spaces and diverse native wildlife. On top of everything, being on the space coast opens the way for better education, funding, and gives more opportunities.
Merritt Island is a safe and family friendly town. In addition to it's decent schools and shopping centers, it is also located between two rivers, giving it a rich tropical feel, the drives are breathtaking!
