Mercer island is a safe, beautiful place to live. With easy access to Seattle and the Eastside, this is the city to be in if you work on either side of the island and like to have access to both the city and mountains!

It's very expensive to live here, and that shows through how safe the area is. Privacy is very valued here. It's a beautiful place. There isn't much in terms of food and shopping, but access to Seattle and Bellevue is good enough that it doesn't really matter.
Mercer Island is very safe and has great schools. There are great views from the local park and there are many other parks with good walking trails. It's convenient to both Bellevue and Seattle. However, the price of housing is very high and there is not much diversity. There are also surprisingly few good restaurants considering the income level here. Town pretty much closes down at 9 pm.
