Mercedes is a beautiful little town. From the people, to the culture, to the many events that go on throughout the city. One such event that Mercedes has to offer, which I believe is the best, is the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show. The stock show brings many people from everywhere to this little town and experience the many fun things you can do while there during spring break, such as enjoying the music, food, and of course the rides. There is nothing I would like to see change about this town because I think it's great just the way it is.

Mercedes is my hometown, it is where I was raised and lived until I moved away. My parents are still residents and it will most likely be the town that I settle down in with my family. I loved living in Mercedes because it is in the center of the Rio Grande Valley so there was always something to do!
What I like about Mercedes is the diversity within the town, and how it is a average/small sized town which makes it easy to get around. The experience is great especially since I live out in the country away from all the noise in the city, but in the city there are many fun things to do such as eat at Chilis, or go to the outlet mall.
