I moved over from France a year ago with my family of 5. We love Melbourne. It's a clean, lively, active town with many infrastuctures, recreational and sportive centers. Parcs for young ones, activities for all ages. Many restaurants, shops, shopping centers and malls. Thereis also a little airport downtown. We are close enough to the sea to just go for a swim, surf or just enjoy beach life.
It is a town were nature is very present. Gators, dolphins, manatees, cranes, pink flamingoes.
Many health profesionals and facilities can be found all over town.
A big choice of private schools but the public schol are very well rated also.

It's a cool place to live because its such a short drive to the beach and there's usually something to do. Downtown melbourne and Cocoa Village are cool places to hang out with friends. You also get to see rocket launches from your own backyard. However, it's gotten so populated here that the traffic is insane. I sit in bumper to bumper traffic on US-1 every morning to get to school. There's also many areas that are super sketchy and the homeless populations is very large, which is upsetting considering there are alot of abandoned houses/buildings that could be used to house homeless people.
Melbourne is not very far from the beaches and the Indian River Lagoon. Being this close to two magnificent bodies of water is amazing. There are healthy options restaurants everywhere, which is nice to be able to find pre-made healthy meals within a reasonable price range. Melbourne is kid-friendly; there are lots of outdoor and indoor activities for the kids, like trampoline parks and swimming pools. It's also a clean city. Littering laws are heavily enforced, so both us and our animal friends do not get harmed by bad habits.
