Meeteetse Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 2 reviews
Meeteetse Wyoming is an agricultural town about 2 hours from Yellowstone National Park. A town of just over 300 people, and surrounded by farms and ranches, it is an excellent place to raise a family! The school is topnotch, and the people are friendly! If you like a bustling city, a short drive to get groceries, or a wild night life, this town is not for you. It is a quiet, mountain town of independent minded people. The WEA Market is a little gas station with a few groceries, but if you need actual groceries, you have to drive approximately 45 minutes to Cody. For weekend excitement, you can drive up to Billings. However, Meeteetse has great parades, community celebrations, and people. We wouldn't want to live anywhere else!
The town is wonderful place... for someone who likes a small town. Being a from a city and moving here can be quite the change and hard to adjust to. The town is also very conservative so if one is anything but conservative, their likely hood of being "accepted" is low. But the town has amazing mountainous views and is definitely peaceful. One can easily fall in love with the area, it just depends on the person.
