This is a very small town where you know almost everyone. I always felt safe in Mechanicsburg and we have a local restaurant that brings in people as well to see our quiet little town.

It is a rural area with a very small school. There is a town of over 100,000 within 10 miles. The cost of living is average. I live near the state capitol so it is very politically oriented. The state government is a mess and can not even agree on a budget. I do like living here because I have a lot of really great friends here.
