McIntosh is a very good community, but what I would change about is it needs more jobs and places to have fun. There could be more restaurants. Even though the majority of work there is plants, they could use more Recreation places. There is plenty of room four stores, restaurants, and even Studios. There is a lot of land where I stay and I would like to see it filled with a lot of places that will give us an opportunity to express themselves. The nightlife there is so boring. You have to travel 30 miles to go to Walmart! Also, if you want to get a doctor you also have to travel 30 miles. McIntosh have a medical clinic, but the doctor is not in all the time. The next emergency room is about 15 miles away or even more! The time is really peaceful and the people there are very nice but there still could be more going on with it. That's because also has a nice River call the tombigbee. The area so nice I believe it will make a good beach.

If you want to live in a more isolated town, then this place is for you. It’s not a place for young couples who like to go out a lot because of the commute to the city. You have to drive 45 minutes to the nearest Walmart and there are no fast food restaurants. However we do have a few mom and pop owned restaurants. The people here are friendly and hospitable.
There isn't much to do in such a small town like McIntosh. Very few shopping and eating options. Unless you know someone here, there is no reason from someone to visit. Even then, there is so much prejudice and small-mindedness. The crimes that occur here are appalling. The morals of most locals are sketchy at best.
