I like living in McCordsville. It is very quiet and the people in my neighborhood are friendly. They have an excellent school system that my son attends that is the only Stem school district in the state. Recently the Meijer’s store opened in McCordsville which has been a big help for groceries since Marsh and Needlers closed. Since McCordsville is up and coming I would like to see more restaurants in the area however there are some in the nearby towns of Fishers, Noblesville, and Carmel. The crime rate is low and I stay notify of current activities happening in surrounding housing developments through the Next Door app.
I have live in McCordsville for 17 years and it a great place to start a family, retire, and live a stress free life. McCordsville is 25 minutes from downtown Indianapolis. The school are great and the housing market is awesome. Homes range from 150's to the millions. My daughter attended Mount Vernon Schools and post high school graduated from Purdue this past May 2017. The community is safe and the Town of McCordsville are friendly. The Town of McCordsville connects to Noblesville, Fishers, Geist, Lawrence, and Indianapolis. Hamilton Town Center is a outside mall that most residents use. Restaurants are amazing, groceries stores are safe and clean, bars are safe, and open access the the Geist for boating and fishing.
McCordsville is a great smaller community, that is now starting to expand, that is great for raising children. The town is very community based and rallies around the local school district. McCorsdville is considered to be low in crimes and a very safe community overall.
