Maywood is a great community. The people here are all one family, and there is a feeling of togetherness. When I go to college, the field that I think I want to major in is psychology, because I want to know more about why people think a certain way and do the things they do at times. I am also a basketball player and I plan to play in college, I have always had the dream of playing in the pros, but I also want to keep a plan B just in case. In high school I have taken the steps towards investing in my future by taking care of what I need to in the classroom and making sure to conduct myself as a fine young man at all times. I receive compliments daily on the way I conduct myself and how I get things done when and how they need to be. To give myself a jumpstart on college, I have applied for over 15 scholarships to get as much money as I can towards my education and less from my parent's pockets.

Overall I'm pleased with Maywood. The town is pretty clean. I believe that the schools in Maywood could be improved more than what they are. the children do not use tablets and chromebooks. The library here in Maywood is very friendly. The only thing that I disapprove about Maywood is that, when it snows the streets are not cleaned right away. Other than that I am pleased overall.
Maywood, Illinois usually isn't the first pick for families to move to due to its bad reputation. Personally, I love living in the area because everything is close by. Major organizations for example; hospitals, shopping malls and other stores which allows for job opportunities. Another benefit of living in Maywood is all the access to expressways that can take you anywhere in the state of Illinois. Having the expressways close by expands your ability to find better opportunities because a travel from Maywood to Downtown Chicago is just a 20 minute car ride. Overall, Maywood is a great location with many opportunities and resources.
