Mayville is surrounded by gentle rolling moraines and a stunning marsh, home to an abundance of diverse wildlife, fowl and healthy vegetation. Mayville is also home to several manufacturing enterprises offering a steady flow of employment. Lacking a community center that is affordable for low-income families, the town does enjoy an indoor pool and fitness center built out of generosity from a local foundation. An additional area of improvement would be the ratio of bars to the number of places of worship and/or community development & enrichment. The school system is conducting a massive experiment in personalized learning which aims to remove the traditional structure of the classroom in favor of allowing the student, now referred to as the learner, a choice in what to learn, how to learn, and how to demonstrate their learning. The district is in desperate need of improvements and facility updates.

Very close minded community. If you are not born and bred in Mayville they will make sure you know it at every possible chance. If you are the slightest bit different they will make it what you are known for. I am very excited to go to college because I will finally be free of the racist and bigoted community that is Mayville, WI.
Mayville is a great small-town community that is growing with local free events, restaurants, and stores!
