Mauston is a nice little town of around 4,000 people. It has a lot of fast food places for truckers to stop because Mauston is right off the interstate. I am a senior at Mauston High school and work at a factory called Dumore, it is in Maustons industrial park. Our school sports teams are pretty good, our soccer team, which I was a part of, won South Central conference, and so did our football team. our Basketball team this year is really good and is predicted to go far this year. Our wrestling team is good, but we have one wrestler that went to state this year and he won his first two matches and his next match is still to be determined, but his score at the moment is 40 and 4. The thing that I would change about Mauston is that it needs more things to do in town because at the moment we have to go to the Dells to do fun stuff and that is about 15 minutes away.
Quaint little town with not much to do or anywhere to shop.
KMart going away, Shopko gone, but there are 3 dollar stores.
Be nice to have more than gas stations and dollar stores in the city. No where to purchase apparel.

It's a good town to raise a family, but there's absolutely nothing to do! With being a good town to raise a family, there (in my opinion) should also be things to do, not only for adults, but the children too. You have to drive at least 25 minutes to go anywhere and do anything.
