I moved here with my Mom In July of 2017 just before my first year of college. She moved five hours north from the Albany area to be closer to her boyfriend. I thought i would hate it here being away from my Dad and my sister but, its very nice. My Moms lives right on the Grasse River, its just a 20 min drive to Canada and 5 minute drive to downtown Massena with all the stores.
It does get very cold in the winter here and we do get tons of snow but guess what we ALWAYS have a white Christmas :) Can't say that where i used to live.
I'm glad my Mom is happier now.

Massena was once a great town for families but it has become a depressed area. The St. Lawrence river is one of the best aspects of this town. Otherwise, there is not much opportunity for jobs.
Massena is a quiet community. It's location in the state is nice, on the St Lawrence River, and close to the Adirondacks.
