Marysville is a very small quiet town. This town is suburbs like with a very low crime rate. Its located on a river so there is a beach; however, that beach closes a lot because of e coli. There is one high school. It has dining options and fast food places. Not very man option for teenagers and young kids though.
It is a pretty safe area, however there is not a lot to do. The school system provides good education, the teachers are wonderful, but the politics and attitude is horrible.
I currently reside in Marysville, however I have lived here before, which is why I came back. Quiet neighborhoods, friendly neighbors, one of the best school systems in the county, and multiple places to shop/eat/workout, without the hassle of a huge city. It's a truly wonderful place!
Small town with big cities not too far away. The most appealing parts of Marysville is that it is very safe and you have direct access to a freshwater lake, Lake Huron. It is absolutely beautiful. Just a short ways up river you will also find the Blue Water bridge not 15 minutes away that leads to Ontario, Canada which is a great resource for all Blue Water Area residents.
Not much to do, bets thing is probably a 24 hour meijer. You can see Canada across the river, but our beach usually has e.coli. The schools are good. 10 minutes away from Port Huron, a semi big town, and an hour from Detroit. People here are obsessed with the school band. Not much diversity here.
Typical small town, very conservative and boring. Having said that, the schools are great and safe. Biggest downside is that for most stores ad restaurants you're forced to drive up to Port Huron.
Great schools and smaller town feel. Love being by the St. Clair River. Close to Port Huron. Local people participate in a lot of sporting activities.
I've live in marysville for 5 years now and it's a great town. It's a small town with a homey feel and everyone is friendly. One thing I'd like to see change about marysville is the pollution. The town is located next to DoW chemical plant and it polluted the air and sometimes water making people more likely to get cancer. I wish Canada or the EPA would regulate or monitor the output and come with a plan to decrease the pollution from said plant.
Very quiet, low crime, good drivers, however bad education system. Kind people, beautiful water view. Nice community park.
Marysville is the place I was born and lived for 24 years. I should know the place pretty well. It's your basic suburban town. Next to no crime, friendly neighbors, and all that fun stuff. Not very diverse and could use a culture shock. Basically if you what the little house with a white picket fence, Marysville is your town.
I really like Marysville. It's a small town where everyone knows everyone. I think that it's nice to go into your local market and say hi to the people you know. It is also annoying at times because everyone knows everyone's business, so there is a lot of drama. I also believe that our town doesn't have a huge diversity. Most people are working class white and it makes it hard for us students to realize what goes on outside our little bubble of a town.
From what I hear, the city next to mine has had an increased crime rate. I have been hearing of more burlaries and small crimes, which has made me feel a little uneasy. The cars in my driveway, as well as my neighbors, have been broken into a couple times in the past year. However, I still feel safe when walking around my neighborhood. The police always tend to be around, which is nice to see. In my experience, the fire department can be slow to respond at times, even though they don't get many calls.
This area is friendly and allows me to feel safe when walking down the streets. I see others around and tend to see smiling faces. This area is blesses with so much water and many beaches, allowing for a soothing place to calm down for a day. Due to the amazing freshwater that we are surrounded by, I would rate this area above every non coastal state. I have not traveled very much so I can't compare to that much. In the future, I hope this area improves in its business. There are many empty shops that would be great business if a store decided to start up there. More entertainment would be perfect as well, as there is not much to do around here.
I love my hometown. The atmosphere is great and the people are very friendly for the most part. The schooling is also very great.
No new jobs moving into the area, Good schools Housing prices on the rise
Marysville is a very safe and secure place to live and a perfect place to raise kids.
