Marshalltown is the perfect sized community, big enough to offer the amenities my family wants and needs, but small enough that we feel connected to our community and know our neighbors. I truly feel that our community bands together whenever there is a need!
Marshalltown has great people who are invested and care about the community. There has been a strengthening of community because of the tornado last summer. There is definitely large room for improvement though. Downtown looks dingy and it is very difficult for stores and shops to remain open in Marshalltown. There is an obviously lack of stores, especially in the mall.
Marshalltown is a great city, with something to do and somewhere to go for everyone. There is an abundance of parks and trails, as well as places to fish nearby. I truly think this a safe place for people to grow and enjoy life together!
