Marshall Reviews
Rating 2.67 out of 5 6 reviews
Winter lasts from like October through May. Kids often have to go trick-or-treating in the snow. The sun hardly shines in the winter months, and we are affected by both lake-effect snow and the nor-easters that come up the coast. It's SO much snow and ice. The county does a good job at keeping the roads okay for the most part, but it still really sucks. Summers are nice, with temps in the 70s-mid 90s. Right in the center of town there has been some problem with flooding at times, but it's not that frequent.
There are a lot of cute little small businesses. There isn't too much of a variety, though, and the hours of these businesses are very limited. You can pretty much get all the bare essentials in Clinton since you have a grocery store and drug stores, but in terms of shopping for clothes, there are just a couple expensive boutiques.
A lot of people that live here are employed at or own a small local business, or work up at Hamilton College. Otherwise, almost people work in surrounding areas like New Hartford or Utica, but choose to live in Clinton, since it's safer and better educationally.
