I've lived in Marshall through elementary school and moved back after spending middle and high school away. I absolutely adore this place. When you go around the corner and see the sunset or fog settling in the valley, it leaves you breathless. The people here are so friendly as well. Everyone treats you like a friend, even if it's just the cashier at the grocery store. On top of that, Marshall is only a short drive away from Asheville, with it's artsy shops and, my favorite, the Biltmore House.

I have always enjoyed the rich southern culture that permeates this town by the river in the Appalachian mountains. People are warm and welcoming and they're not afraid to share their history and welcome you into the culture. It's quite amazing at times.
Marshall is an amazing place to live. We have the nicest people here. People are mostly laid back here and are country.
