Mars Hill is a very small city therefore the communities are very close-knit; everyone knows everyone. These tight communities allow for a safer, more trusting environment. I have lived in Mars Hill for my entire life and love being a resident. The residents are mostly very kind and the town itself holds many great opportunities and possibilities.
It’s a very small community where it’s a sense of family and connectivity . If you reside there for a few months you will become familiar fairly quickly . The grocery store is local and farm fresh which makes for a more healthy life . The community is very inviting for the most part and the view of the mountains and rural surroundings gives a very peaceful feeling.
Very small town which seems to house many underprivileged individuals or retirees who have settled in to a town near Asheville and hope to soak in the views. It is very good commute to Asheville which houses many amenities tourists are looking for. Much more needed within the community to make it more livable long term.
