I came to Marlette from out of state, for a family emergency just after Christmas. No where was it posted on the residential road you are not to park on the road between 2am-6am. I wake up the next morning to find a parking ticket on my windshield. I went to the municipal building spoke with the people in there, they were wonderful and told me to write a note to the police department and see if they can be waived considering my situation. Then 5 days later a officer calls me, he had no compassion when I explained my situation, and told me I have to pay it. If not paid within the 10 days it will be sent to the Magistrate and I can lose my license for not paying. I have now lost all respect for Marlette Police department.

Small town with nothing to do. Wish I could of gotten out sooner. Better than a lot of towns around the area but the place is still full of unintelligent racists. Teaches you to be humble and expect more out of your life but those who stay do nothing with their life.
I have lived in Marlette for over ten years. I have always loved this small town because of the community and the peaceful rural area. This is a safe area and perfect to raise a family.
