I have lived here my entire life and my parents as well before me, and my grandparents. It is a safe town, very rare to feel unsafe anywhere or worried if you leave your car unlocked. It's gotten a little worse in recent years, like my sons bike being stolen out of our yard. But generally we have no worries. My 9 year old rides his bike around the neighborhood till dark with no worries and we have a real sense of community here. Small town. Not many options for stores. We drive to Green Bay for any shopping other than weekly needs. Small town with small minds in some ways. Not very diverse and the town knows everyones business. The marina is very nice and we have some OK parks. But on weekends there is not much to do. We find ourselves sometimes thinking about moving somewhere with our kids that offers more to do and job opportunities. It's a blue collar town and most families rely on someone who works in the foundry or at the shipyard. Those are the bankbone of this community.

I grew up in this small town I've seen stores going in and out of business in recent years bigger stores have started opening here because of the new hospital bringing more people to town. The stores being Khols, Tj Maxx, and soon a Ross. We also got a new REC center with a turf field and track, an ice rink, and tennis courts that also have basketball hoops it's a very nice facility. When it comes to schools they're talking about renovating all the buildings and combining some of the elementary schools in the future. The schools are pretty average academically. The high school offers many college credit opportunities to students for free as long as they pass the class.
Marinette is a small town that has many blue collar jobs available and is constantly growing and changing. Marinette has many outdoor activities to offer such as disc golf, golf, our community pool in the summer, and many parks. A big part of the community is the football season especially the M&M game against our rival school people of all ages come to watch from where they currently live it's the third oldest public school rivalry in the US.
