- Town in Illinois

Marine is a quaint little town surrounded by nature. While a little old fashioned, the citizens are all very friendly. There is a strong sense of community and a sense of love for this little town among it's residents.
This small town provides the feeling of safety and comfort. It is quite and everyone knows everyone. This would be a great place to raise a family.
Marine is a nice and quiet little town in the middle of nowhere in Illinois. Everyone is extremely friendly. It is a close knit community. The only thing I would change is possibly getting another food source of some sort in the town. There is one restaurant, not including the bar, and it's not open during the winter season.
Small, "farm" town that is super friendly and safe. Great for families with young kids also, but maybe not so much for teenagers that are obsessed with big cities and outlet malls.
Marine is a very small town. With small towns, there is not much to do. However, when there is something to do, like the Firemen's Picnic, many people show up to have fun. It is a very quiet atmosphere the majority of the time however. We don't have much or any pollution, crime, or homelessness, so that's the good part. Most people move here to raise a family, like my parents did. I had a very safe childhood here, so yes, I would choose to live here again. The future for Marine? I'd say that it probably won't grow very much from where it is now, but a couple of more businesses may pop up, and a few may close, and a couple more town shindigs may be planned. But it will always stay a small town.
