Marengo is a calm city, and a great place to raise a new family. The school isn't too big and every big shopping town is at least 25 minutes away in every direction. The one thing I would like to see change is maybe the amount of stores there are. I think there should be a least two more grocery stores built and a few more fast food restaurants in this town. One reason for this is job opportunities available for local people. other than this the town nice and the crime rates are really low, which is good for the neighborhoods safety.

Small town, Great resources and local Business, Affordable living and wonderful town overall, looking forward to raising my daughter here!
Marengo is a small town, with under 1000 students attending the high school, and about 180 students in my senior class. You see the same people every day and you are familiar with everyone in the town. Living in this small town isn't to terrible other than the fact you have to drive a little to get to any shopping areas. But i deffinetly love the small feel of the town, the people are good but my friendships are even better.
