I grew up in Marble Hill. If you like small towns off the beaten path then this is the place for you. I lived on a farm outside Marble Hill. It is definitely country, which I liked. It's a small town with small town drama and small town things to do, which isn't much. If you want to go to Walmart you have to drive 30 min. There aren't many places to work in Marble Hill either. The school system I felt was pretty good and it is one of the better ones in Southeast Missouri according to greatschools.com. Also, if you're a hunter Bollinger County is one of the number 1 deer and turkey kill counties in MO. All in all it's not a bad place to live, you just have to like living in the country and commuting a bit longer for a more.

While I love the smaller and close knit communities, I feel that the opportunities for employment and schooling are very limited in our area.
The one thing I like about marble hill is that you know everyone. Since you know everyone they are all very friendly and are easy to get along with. The only thing I would like to see change are more activities to do for the school kids such as a swimming pool or a movie theater. Something interesting for teenagers that way they don't have to drive far away to go see a movie or out to eat.
