Quiet, safe, small town community. Very family friendly and community oriented.
The city known for being the highest supportive community to the Seattle Seahawks. It is continuing to increase in population and popularity. Just opened up a brand new high school and increased elementary school. Working on passing a bill to add more parks and recreation for families. The lake wilderness park holds many family nights and movie nights. Four corners has a Christmas time lighting ceremony. It is outlined by beautiful scenery and the view of Mt. Rainer is amazing.

Great place to raise kids, excellent schools, clean air, within commuting distance to Tacoma and Seattle, lots of extracurricular activities for kids, great sports programs, out of the hectic 'big city' and into the country within minutes, not far from Cascades for skiing, or Puget Sound for crabbing, fishing, water sports, whale watching, not far from SeaTac for plane travel, not far to nearest commuter rail lines. It has it all.
Maple Valley, Washington is a nice, small town. It is near Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Tacoma, and Olympia. Within 30 or 40 minutes you can be at the beach or in the mountains. The city is safe. But there are not many job, shopping, dining, or entertainment opportunities within city limits. Also, there is not a Catholic parish in town, so you must drive to the nearest one.
