There is not much to do in this little bedroom community. The entire city is based on tearing down forests and building unnecessary residential complexes. This town's community Facebook page has proven to ridicule residents, spread fake news and act as a network for adult bullying. It says something about the adult residents when the students at the local high school are ashamed of what their neighbors say about each other online. If one were to count going to Fred Myers as 'nightlife' then they are in luck. Maple Valley does not really have anything great other than their school district, which is undeniably one of the best districts in the area. However, other than that people really only live here so they are close to everything else outside of the city.

I lived and went to school in Maple Valley until I turned 18 and went away to college. The town has been growing exponentially for the past few years, causing overcrowding in the Tahoma School District even though we just built a new high school and expanded the elementary schools. Maple Valley is a great family town because it is very safe, still relatively small, and has a lot of residential areas, especially around Four Corners. I lived on the outskirts for most of my life, towards Hobart, and that area is still pretty similar to the old Maple Valley with farms and acres of land, but the developers are starting to get to this side of Maple Valley, too. I am disappointed with how many chain stores/restaurants and residential areas Maple Valley has created in the past few years and wish that we would have kept more of the maples in our valley, but it is still a really safe place to live with a great community and school district.
Quiet, safe, small town community. Very family friendly and community oriented.
The city known for being the highest supportive community to the Seattle Seahawks. It is continuing to increase in population and popularity. Just opened up a brand new high school and increased elementary school. Working on passing a bill to add more parks and recreation for families. The lake wilderness park holds many family nights and movie nights. Four corners has a Christmas time lighting ceremony. It is outlined by beautiful scenery and the view of Mt. Rainer is amazing.
