Typical rural, small town. Very conservative area. The only grocery store in town is Walmart. The local high school's sports are combined with a neighboring school in the same school district, which can at times be confusing. The softball team is the Liberty Mounties(and they wear red and black), yet all home games are played in Mansfield. (Mansfield teams are Mansfield Tigers and wear blue and gold). Most stores downtown close by 5 PM, 6 PM at the latest.

Mansfield is a very small, nice, family-friendly town. It is home to Mansfield University, which is a Pennsylvania state school. Mansfield University provides many degrees and opportunities for incoming students. It is also a major employer for Mansfield and the surrounding areas.
I have worked in Mansfield for over 10 years and am a recent graduate of Mansfield University. This community has many features both in small businesses as well as major department/ chain stores such as Walmart, CVS Pharmacy, and Tractor Supply. There are also a wide array of fast food/restaurants including a Wendy's, Arby's, Pizza Hut, KFC, and a Dunkin Donuts.
