Mansfield Reviews

Mansfield is a town with a cool history, and you can find out easily by visiting one of the many museums, historic sites, and even movie sites throughout the small town. Downtown Mansfield has a lot to offer in the way of dining. Whether you want a laid back diner feel or a fine-dining experience, you can find it in Mansfield. My ideal day in Mansfield would include a stop at Relax in the heart of Downtown Mansfield, followed by a shopping spree at the local shops, and lunch at the beautiful Dan Lew Exchange. Finally, I would end the night at the Mansfield Renaissance theater to enjoy a show.
I've lived in Mansfield Ohio my entire life. Through out my younger years it was kind of dying but now in my mid 30s a lot of work is being done in downtown and it's really coming around. Safety has never been an issue, I've had my car broken into once and it was in a pretty nice area... Surprising enough. The bad areas can be bad, but I lived in both good areas and bad areas and always felt relatively safe. The people are good and light hearted, friendly and overall pretty helpful. Most of them. It's a cheap place to live also and a good place to be able to raise a family. I love my home town and I have very little that's bad to say about it.
Economy is poor and amenities are severely lacking. Some neighborhoods are relatively safe but crime rates aren’t great overall. Everywhere but the tiny downtown area requires a car to get to and public transport is limited. Still carries a bad reputation from all surroundIng areas and a few trips down Bowman and the north end will explain why. It’s also technically classified as a good desert with a plethora of dollar stores and not much access to fresh foods.
