Small town, close to everything, lots of job opportunities relatively close by. Downtown is an up and coming hotspot with a lot of new restaurants and availability to nightlife.
The overall experience in this area is very mixed. There is not a lot to do here except eat out. The food scene is absolutely fantastic here. There are hundreds of choices in the area. If I had to, I would raise my children here or live here again. Although not my first choice, I am very luck to have lived here and appreciate all my parents were able to do for me. For the future, I do not imagine my neighborhood lasting much longer. Many companies have been building high-density housing in the area attracting many people from the inner city. In recent years also, Lancaster has had its highest rate in hard drug rate.
