I like the kindness of the people in Manhattan and I like that the town has expanded so much within the past 10 years. I wish that the town would get more healthy fast food restaurants, rather than the consistent increase in chain fast foood.
This area goes through many different weather changes...for the most part Manhattan keeps up with the roads when the snow season is upon us; but the side roads are never done in a fashionably manner...many cannot get out or get cars moved for days if living on a side road.
Area rental companies could do better on pet polices...many only allow 1 pet per unit and when college kids each want their own pet this causes problems along with military families getting transferred here and bringing multiple pets. This town is definitely dedicated to their local high school and college sporting events.
Being a college town there are many students who get around on bicycles or simply walking...plenty of parking in this area. Manhattan does have public transportation but the bus system could get some better extended hours for workers and not just working extended hours to cater to the bars around here for those who cannot drive after drinking.
This is a college/military town...many different diversities; mixture of friendly and non-friendly people.
Plenty of outdoor activities around this area and those that have fees are reasonable...good clean areas and good location
Pretty good variety in this town with more new stores on the way
Enjoy the school system here in Manhattan; just not sure where my career may take me. If job market for my field pays what I need, then I will stay. The city is growing and bringing in new stores and activities are good in this area
No comment...really do not keep up with politics
Manhattan has both major retails and mom/pop stores...lots of variety for the different wants and needs for those who live here permanently or just here for school/military obligations.
This is a college and military town; employers know that there is going to be a lot of turn overs so pay is average on many jobs
The area that we are living in is average...some nice properties and not so nice properties; affordable and location is good for what my family needs and our landlord is pet friendly.
Manhattan has a wide range of jobs. There are many opportunities for students, including food, department stores, golf courses, movie theatre, etc.
Manhattan has a superb sense of "community". People that grow up here tend to never leave because they love it so much. There are tons of pets and families, and it is an overall safe environment to have both children and animals.
Manhattan is fantastic and I've loved living here for most of my life. The people are very friendly and kind, and there is a great energy to the place. Compared to everywhere else I've been I must say this is one of my favorite places in the world. Nothing beats looking out at a sunset over the flint hills! Manhattan continues to expand and I see great things happening in the future!
