Manhattan is an awesome community and before you leave, you will end up owning something purple! Manhattan locals love and support their local college K-state and the Military.
Manhattan is a not too big but not too small and a very friendly Midwest community.
My family and I moved here in July and we felt very welcomed by everyone we encountered.

Little apple! I love it. It has very friendly people who help foreigners!
Manhattan is a city in Kansas, on the Kansas and Big Blue rivers. The Flint Hills Discovery Center offers multimedia exhibits on the region’s prairie ecosystem. Sunset Zoo has cheetahs, leopards and anteaters, plus a butterfly garden. Just north of the city, Tuttle Creek State Park encompasses Tuttle Creek Reservoir, horse trails and a shooting range. South, trails run through Konza Prairie, home to bison.
As the Little Apple, Manhattan is a city with a small town feel. The community here is very well connected, and there’s always some kind of fun, community event going on! Always an opportunity for fun or celebration!
