- Suburb of New York City, NY
Rating 4.5 out of 5 14 reviews
Manhasset is beautiful, and had so many stores and restaurants all around. Only change I would say is the traffic ! There is always traffic
It's a great place to raise your kids. The public schools are amazing, allowing kids to join any type of extracurricular you could think of. And most kids ends up going to amazing colleges. The train stations make it easy to go to NYC in just 45 minutes, great for work and to go out. I grew up in Manhasset and loved it.
Great place to live if you like quiet neighborhood. Need more weekend activities for middle and high schoolers. Good food choices and Buttercooky is a great bakery/cafe!
I would like to see more diversity. Manhasset is an overall white community. The community is mostly high middle class. Many residents commute to work by the LIRR.
I really liked growing up in Manhasset. But as far as high school, the people are stuck up and not nice.
Manhasset is a beautiful suburb on Long Island, NY. Picturesque, safe, clean, lovely family town (if you can afford it.)
Nice area with successful middle class families. It has very good public school -- Manhasset Public School and very convenient transport to the city. The majority here are white. There are no vacant homes in this area. Quality of the homes are in very good condition. Cost of homes are high due to the great community and school district. Utilities are average.
Safe neighborhood, lacks diversity, very wealthy neighborhood, stuck up, very high cost of living, town closes very early
There are no vacant homes in this area. Quality of the homes are in very good condition. Cost of homes are high due to the great community and school district. Utilities are aversge.
The area is very safe, I think with the economy not being as strong, their are criminals breaking into some of the homes. The police are very much active in this area, and I don't summize this happening.
I would absolutely live here again. I just think the economy isn't improving and the inflation is hurting us. The interest in banks are low and not much extra money.
I am used to a more urban environment so the quiet does not suit my personal taste but it is great for people looking to start a family and have their kids enjoy a good public school system.
