This area is very diverse, as we have residents of all ethnicities and age groups. There are few neighborhood activities, but if one were to walk down the street, many neighbors would say "hello" or wave. Many speed bumps are in place to make it safe for children to play outside, but most of the youth outside are teenagers. The high schools in Chesterfield County are very good. There have been a few break-ins recently. Power outages occur as often as they do in other neighborhoods, and last anywhere from 12 hours to 3 days.

Our household income is $20,000 more than the average and we are more educated than most people in the area. I am living in this area because we had student loans to pay off - we paid off $65,000 worth of student loans in 2 years and now we are living in this area to save money for an emergency fund and to cash flow our next car purchases, graduate school, etc. Though the people are poor and uneducated, they seem to be hard working and we have not had any issues with crime.
With the James River flowing directly through Richmond, we have awesome avenues for hiking, camping, and kayaking. Numerous state parks surround Richmond and you can tell that Nature matters to the people of Richmond.
