Moved from ATL with our two small kids and once we visited the winter park/Maitland area we were sold. We absolutely love our home in Maitland. We have met so many young families and the parks are awesome. We hop on the train and take it into winter park for dinner. We have been here almost a year and never run out of things to do. The homes, the oak lined streets, the city, and all of the upcoming ideas for businesses are everything we could have wanted. Highly recommend!

I love the area of Maitland. The homes are beautiful and the schools are great. I live on the seminole county side of Maitland so I am zoned for Lake Howell High School however, I would've loved to have been zoned for Winter Park High School. Some things that I love about Maitland is the library, where the variety of books and movies are endless, Lake Lily which hosts so many events, my favorite being the annual lighting of the Christmas tree and the art festivals where you can always catch me and my family there with a bag of kettle corn. Other little events I enjoy attending would be the first Friday of the months, Get Down Maitland, with live performances, food trucks, and numerous vendors. Lastly, the new sunrail station is another thing I'm proud to have in my city.
I love the Seminole County side of Maitland. The Orange County side of Maitland has parts that is very dirty and run down. There is not enough littering violations being handed out. On the other hand, Seminole County side is more organized and community engaged. The thing to keep in mind is that the majority of Maitland is Orange County so the population is far greater than the Seminole County side.
