Madisonville, Kentucky is a very nice place to live. Very family oriented with a lot of schools close by. The only thing that needs to be changed about Madisonville or added to the town would be some kind of nightlife. There is nothing to do at all here. We have no bars no clubs but we do have a bowling alley. Sometimes we have Friday Night Lights downtown. The town closes down some streets, and they have live bands come and they have tons of things for the kids. But what about us Adults!

Madisonville is an average mid-sized town in the south. While there are things to do, many people travel to the larger surrounding cities for shopping and leisure trips. The schools are alright, but crime can be very bad depending on the neighborhood.
Madisonville, KY is a very small town. It seems as if you see the same people every day and/or do the same thing: school/work, go to the grocery store, go to the "mall", etc. Also, because it is so small, it's not hard to find out the latest "gossip" about someone. In the near future, I wish to see changes. We have many, many, unnecessary fast food restaurants and some are all over the down (like seriously, do we really need about 4-5 Subways??) but we don't have alot of department stores. It would be nice to cut back on fast food resturants and add a few local clothing stores, that way we wouldn't have to travel to Evansville, IN or Hopkinsville, KY just to find some "decent" clothes.
