The neighborhood in which I live revolves around an elementary school and a small, community church. There are a fair number of sidewalks that are scattered throughout the neighborhood and the speed limit is kept consistent at twenty-five miles per hour. The area is composed of people from all age groups, however, it is not too congested. Bicyclists, pedestrians, runners, and children playing games in the street can frequently be found.
I feel this area is an excellent place for raising a family, as it is a small, tight-knit community for the most part, with neighbors often turning into close friends. The crime rate is relatively low, there are a wide range of job opportunities, and all four seasons can be experienced in this area of the country. A far as entertainment goes, however, there is a lack of activities and events, and it is usually troublesome to find other means of transportation other than driving by car.
