Madison, MS is a great place to live! People here have immense pride in the city and do their part to keep everything clean and attractive. Building codes are stringent, schools are highly rated and safe. We are a diverse culture with many different faiths who live and work together in peace. We are a healthy community with good available food, exercise and recreational opportunities, good doctors and medical facilities. Our community is affordable with a growing real estate market and job opportunities.
We need a new post office in a more accessible location.

Madison, Mississippi is the ultimate small town. Located right outside of the capital city, Jackson, Madison is the most wealthy county and nicest in the state. Our school district is incredible and is known throughout the south for its academic and athletic excellence. Our long-standing Mayor, Mayor Mary Hawkins-Butler, has kept Madison relatively crime-free and extremely safe. The community life is great and there are incredible activities to be involved in that bring you closer to those in the town. Known as the "Brick City", because every single building in our town is made of the same Mississippi red-clay brick, Madison is a beautiful town filled with the kindest and most hospitable people in the South.
Overall I have had a good experience in Madison. The schools are great and the community as a whole is pretty good. We do have great local restaurants and places to shop too! Overall I think we do have some negatives, much like any other city, but we are a great and safe environment to raise a healthy family!
