Clean, neat, safe. I love this town! This area is still growing and adding new, quality shops. Despite all the bad press MS gets for education, the school systems in the Madison area are considered some of the best public schools in the nation. I love living here and raising my children here.

Very safe and looks upscale because of the brick building codes. Obviously amazing compared to Jackson 15 min down the road. As a city in Mississippi, it’s great. As a city in the US it’s terribly boring, isolating, and not impressive even as a small town. There is nothing to do aside from going to see movies and eating, which fulfills the typical Mississippi stereotype of obesity. There isn’t even a bowling alley. Not super family friendly in the activity area, and there isn’t even a lot of significant nature in the area either. The best schools here are subpar. One good thing is that it’s pretty cheap compared to other states to live here, but residents will say it’s expensive.
Madison, MS is a great place to live! People here have immense pride in the city and do their part to keep everything clean and attractive. Building codes are stringent, schools are highly rated and safe. We are a diverse culture with many different faiths who live and work together in peace. We are a healthy community with good available food, exercise and recreational opportunities, good doctors and medical facilities. Our community is affordable with a growing real estate market and job opportunities.
We need a new post office in a more accessible location.
