I really love the diversity of Madison Alabama. North Alabama has a lot to offer and has been amazing to my schooling experience. All the people here are so friendly and I have spend some of my best times here.
Small town that is beginning to grow exponentially. The community is generally good and is different from the rest of Alabama.
It is a good place to start a family and your education. People within the community are friendly. There are many restaurants (fast-food, sit-in, cafes, etc.), grocery stores, gyms, neighborhoods, and places for entertainment (theaters, arcades, etc.).
When you come here from Miami and find the people in Madison to be rude...then you know the people must be extremely rude! I'm accustomed to rude but this is a different type of passive aggressive, judgemental type of rude! No matter what you wear whether its dressed up or sweatpants they stare at you like something out of a horror movie. It's not paranoia either u feel them staring then u look up & catch them and the continue to give u a nasty look. Not used to people not minding their business. Extremely nosey
Madison is a great city to live in. There is so much to do around the area. There are a lot of places to eat. It is a very safe city to live in. It is very close to Huntsville. They have one of the best school systems in Alabama.
Good place. Food not so amazing but otherwise nice. I like living here alot. Also we have a minor league baseball team now so that's cool
Madison is a great place to raise a family, convenient to travel for shopping and dining, nice homes and successful schools and also very diverse and crime is very low.
It is growing and is clean. The traffic can get a little heavy sometimes but that's with almost everywhere. There are a lot of stores that are easy to access and many different restaurants.
Madison is nice and there is a decent bit to do here. The local high schools are great and the general attitude of the city is nice
Moved here almost six years ago. The base, university, and research park encourage an inflow of diverse and educated residents. The public schools are solid. Just got Culvers and a new little league stadium among numerous other developments. Overall, the area is great for retirees, young professionals, and families. Haven't seen much of a nightlife but personally I think this is a good thing.
I have lived in Madison, Alabama since 2009 when my parents job encouraged us to relocate, and have loved every minute of it! Madison is filled with a wonderful community of people!
Madison is a city right outside of Huntsville Alabama. One major aspect I like of the city is that everything is not too far from where you live. Gas stations, shopping centers, barbershops, churches etc. from wherever you live whether that is in an apartment complex or a town house or even a suburban neighborhoods everything is located in a small radius. Schools play a big factor in Madison city as well. In my time of being in this city there has been two high schools completely built and there is another elementary school coming along the way. So there are a bunch of school options for children of all ages. However, being that Madison is not that big and the amount of schools there are in the area, it depends precisely on where you live that determines where you or your child goes to school.
The city is kept clean and safe. Lots of traffic though. Every restaurant you can think of is here. There are many community activities and festivals Night life includes lots for all age groups. The NASA Space Center is right down the road. Convience of a large city with a small town feel.
I like how Madison has a lot of job opportunities in the engineering field. It is the most prosperous city in Alabama. The people here are very friendly, and I know that I am getting a good education here.
I am student at Bob Jones High School in Madison, Alabama. It is an awesome high school to get familiar with what career I want to pursue. It also has many opportunities for community services and a healthy lifestyle. The standards for this area are very high. However, the night life is non-existent which is ok, because it is a very family friendly and safe area to raise a family.
I have lived in the Madison area for 17 years. It has grown quite a bit since I first moved here. It has great stores for shopping and an abundance of great restaurants. We now have our own hospital in Madison and it is very high tech and up to date. Also, have a great many doctors and dentist offices here.
Overall a nice town, with a huge amount of tech jobs and great schools. The housing market is heavily skewed towards sellers, and the town encircled by the larger city of Huntsville. Commute if you work at the arsenal can be quite bad, and there is little public transportation. The nightlife is getting better, with a dave and busters just being completed, along with TopGolf. Politically more moderate than the surrounding areas, as the influx of tech workers moderates the staunch conservatism of the surrounding state. Alabama weather is awful. The FBI has moved into the arsenal, bringing even more jobs to the area, so the madison area is expected to become the largest city in the state in the near future.
