I have lived in the Huntsville / Madison, Alabama area for my entire life. I moved for three years because my husband was in the military. I didn't fully appreciate the beauty, affordability, safety, education, and work opportunities Huntsville / Madison offers until I had the opportunity to spend time in other parts of the United States. Nothing compares!

The people of Madison city are friendly, quaint, and diverse. The homes vary in size, character, and location. The public schools are incredible, dominating in areas such as academics, arts, and athletics. They offer numerous clubs for every walk of life, and AP courses to prep students for college and future careers. The special education classes are also paramount to other regions in the state. It is safe, affordable, diverse, and unlike any other city. Its like a tiny piece of southern utopia.
Madison is a great town that is just outside of Huntsville. Everything is located centrally, so you don't have to drive far to get anywhere. The traffic is usually pretty steady, but picks up a lot during commuting hours making it difficult to get from place to place depending on what roads you take. The parks are very nice and well-kept. There are lots of old-style communities with cozy cul de sacs, and generally no loud music is played or overly dramatic neighbors. Little to no stray animals, and the roads are maintained.
