Overall a nice town, with a huge amount of tech jobs and great schools. The housing market is heavily skewed towards sellers, and the town encircled by the larger city of Huntsville. Commute if you work at the arsenal can be quite bad, and there is little public transportation. The nightlife is getting better, with a dave and busters just being completed, along with TopGolf. Politically more moderate than the surrounding areas, as the influx of tech workers moderates the staunch conservatism of the surrounding state. Alabama weather is awful. The FBI has moved into the arsenal, bringing even more jobs to the area, so the madison area is expected to become the largest city in the state in the near future.

Overall, my experience in Madison is very good. I lived in Madison for 12+ years and this town grew tremendously. Career-wise, this town is popularly known for engineering, computing, logistics field, medical job opportunities. The public schools have a great and advanced education system. Also, it's very safe, diverse, and friendly based on my experience. There are so many restaurants, buildings, nature trails, etc that are provided in this town. It's safe and friendly. If you need to take your kids out somewhere then there is a TopGolf, skating rinks, trampoline park, etc.
Madison is a great area to raise a family and live in general. There are many job and intern opportunities for both high school and college students. There are excellent schools both public and private. Overall there are many social events, such as concerts and festivals. There are also many restaurants and shopping centers along with beautiful hiking areas and other outdoor activities.
