Crime & Safety
I really liked living in Madison for 19 year. I really liked the feeling of everybody knowing everybody and caring for one another. If one person was struggling with something, I know a lot would pitch in to help. Our Dairy Queen also is the leader for Miracle Treat Day every year to donate to hospitals. I feel like there could be a lot changed with stuff for the younger people to do there. There is just a movie theater that is not the best, and a bowling alley that isn't even open half the year. I feel like Madison needs more hangout spots for younger people. The downtown is not as thriving as it should be.
Madison is a pleasant midwestern plains town situated east of the Missouri river and between two lakes. The town is active with events offered by local churches, Dakota State University, community service groups and local clubs. Madison is a safe and beautiful place to live and raise a family.
The police officers are amazing!
