Madera is a small town of about 60,000 residents, it's mostly very quiet and calm. There are some instances in which the town is bewildered by incidents but not very often. There a couple of parks around the town but it's not well taken care of, there should be better funding for the parks. There are no big malls here, just small stores. But overall it's a cozy town, you get to know many residents due to the small size.

I live here all my life overall it's a good town. Maderan's have all the basics Hospital, Parks and some big name Retail Stores and so on, but as a Maderan Im disappointed at the city of Madera and our representative for not doing enough for the city The roads are awful and full of potholes Yosemite and gateway are long over due for repairs you go to the east and south side of town and it's a dump over there. We have a big problem with speeding cars in residential areas, town and country park, Granada, Sunset just to name a few. Madera should use funds to pay for speed bump or a system to regulate speed Near Parks, Schools or Child development program centers. I would like the city to get tougher on drunk drivers and violent criminals.
Madera is a good place to live, it is a safe place overall. Since the place is not so big it is easy to get around without having to deal with to much traffic. There are not that much things to do on weeknights though. So, having nightclubs, bars, or other businesses where people can come and have a good time would be a good thing for the city.
