The people here are very friendly and willing to lend a helping hand. Located on the border of the United States and Canada, you can go to Canada if you get bored! This town hosts festivals every year as well as every five years and these festivals attract tourists from all over! The police department and fire department are always at the ready when they need to be called and they get the job done. While the affordability isn't that great, the surrounding towns (Frenchville and Van Buren) always have offers. Businesses are always looking for employees as new shops are coming in this small town, so jobs are always available. Everything is close to each other so if you don't own a vehicle, don't stress about it!

It’s a dying community. More good people move out than good people moving in. Drugs are more abundant now and finding needles in the local parks. Recreational fields are horrible and the schools are declining in population and quality education. People are friendly but extremely jealous of others. Beautiful scenery all around but you better like the cold because winter is 6 months loooong!
Madawaska is a small town with friendly people and perfect for raising a family. Lots of recreational opportunities including ski slopes across the boarder. The schools are top notch and are 1 to 1 tech. It does get cold in the winter and lots of snow for snow shoeing, cross country skiing, tubing and other activities for the kids. There are some job opportunities in town but should be researched if seeking employment.
