Construction everywhere! Mableton is going through a phase of change with lots more construction of subdivisions. I wish for Mableton that it gets "cool" one day like Woodstock, they should have a brewery here. Maybe even become an Incorporated city. Shopping is fabulous, everything is very close. The silver comet trail is great for biking and walking. It's 30 minutes to downtown in the morning and around 45 minutes to North Druid Hills. There are mostly retired people and young families here who will probably move away once their kids need to get into better schools. Very diverse area! My neighbors come from all places. I feel safe in Mableton most of the time but will avoid walking around after dark, it's the Atlanta area after all.

My experience in Mableton, Georgia has been amazing. For the most part, the citizens in this small town have been very helpful to my family and I. Everyone in the town is so helpful to one another and we see everyone as family despite the color of our skin. There are a lot of job opportunities so looking for a job is no problems. The crime rating is very low and it is very safe for small children to play outside. Really the only thing that Mableton needs to improve is the public school system. Overall it's a great town to raise a family and enjoy life to the fullest!
I am relatively new to the Mableton area. It is very family friendly and has everything you would need in close proximity (shops, farmers markets, restaurants, recreational activities). It is a developing Area on the outskirts of Atlanta. In the time I have lived in Mableton I have seen it develop in terms of the real estate market. New homes are being built and the property value for existing homes is on the rise. I love that although it is outside of downtown Atlanta it is in close proximity allowing easy access to Midtown, Downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. Additionally, the new Braves stadium is an easy reach.
