It could be nicer. City hall is sort of turning this place into a giant truck stop and forgetting about its citizens. Instead of improving historic building in our town, they keep allowing for fast food restaurants to be built and they are trying to build all of these places on top of one other and rezoning residential areas instead of advising these businesses to build in vacant commercial areas of town. They are pushing families out of their homes that they have been in for decades. We used to have a nice city, and now it's not as safe as it once was. You hardly ever see people walking around. Even those who live close enough to walk to store, will not do so anymore due to how unsafe this town has become. However there are some areas that have yet to be affected by the changes in town.
Lytle is a small, close-knitted community. I love the town I came from because I always felt safe and welcomed. Everyone looks out for one another and genuinely cares about each other. I moved back to Lytle when my son started school because I wanted him to be able to grow up in the same place as I did; and I do not regret my choice one bit. My son has friends who are all very close, he has smaller class sizes, and enjoys every bit of the community.
Lytle is a very small town but within the years I've lived there I've seen a lot of growth and change within it. Lytle has a very friendly community and is very safe. It has many places to go and hang out with your friends but there are some things I would like to see. One thing I would like is for us to have a chick-fil-a. I believe that having this will be a great restaurant attractant to many people and they would make good business. I would also like to see like a place where young adults can go hang out and play games or grab something to eat and have a good time.
